JumpCloud report finds AI agent adoption surging while governance and oversight lag
JumpCloud's Q3 2026 IT Trends Report finds AI agents are rapidly gaining autonomy and access across organisations, while governance, human oversight and identity controls for non-human identities lag behind.
JumpCloud has released its Q3 2026 IT Trends Report, titled AI Agents Are Entering Critical Workflows. Who's Governing Them? The report states that AI agent deployment has become widespread, with more than six in 10 organisations now running agents in production. According to the report, governance has not kept pace: organisations have adopted fewer than a third of standard AI governance and security practices, and just 21% have implemented controls for non-human identities (NHIs).
