So Tailor Brands just hit $600,000 in revenue per employee - a milestone I’m personally very proud of.
And just to be clear, this comes from real profitable growth, not from reducing headcount…
The reason I’m so proud of this is that RPE is for me one of the most fascinating metrics when looking at companies. It’s a number that ultimately reflects a team’s efficiency, strength, and one of the best leading indicators of a company’s operational effectiveness and growth potential.
Hopefully, we’ll be seeing one-person unicorns very soon, but for now, if you look at companies in the S&P 500, the average is around $479,000 per employee. There are outliers like Apple, which raises the bar with nearly $2.5 million per employee, but most companies fall in the $200K–$300K range, Declared Yali Saar, founder & CEO on LinkedIn.
